Hugh Baird College – Main Campus, Liverpool, is inviting applications for a Construction Technician to support staff and students in a hands-on learning environment. The role focuses on technical support, demonstrations, and equipment management to enable practical training.

You will work with construction workshops, promote health and safety, and help maintain tools and resources, contributing to student success and staff development.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety in workshop settings.
• Experience with construction equipment in an educational or training environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of construction workshops.
• Support lecturers and students with equipment, demonstrations, and practical tasks.
• Maintain and manage tools, materials, and resources.
• Promote health and safety and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Participate in open evenings, taster days, and other promotional events.
