Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a Construction Technician to strengthen the construction workshops and support teaching staff. The role is based at the Malvern campus with willingness to travel to other campuses as required. Salary ranges from £25,724 to £27,961 per annum, with a 37-hour week and 52 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Organised and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to undertake a range of construction tasks.
• Able to support teaching staff and learners in practical sessions.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operation of construction/workshops.
• Maintain and clean workshop equipment and facilities.
• Ensure health, safety and COSHH procedures are followed.
• Assist teaching staff with demonstrations and learning activities.
• Supervise and deliver pre-planned practical sessions when required.
• Set up and dismantle workshop equipment; manage stock levels.
