Job summary

Heart of Worcestershire College is seeking a Construction Technician to join the Construction department. Based at the Malvern campus with travel to other campuses as required, you will support day-to-day operation of construction/workshops, assist teaching staff, supervise practical sessions, and help maintain equipment and safety standards.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, with a starting salary in the £25,724–£27,961 range depending on experience and qualifications, and includes

Qualifications

• Qualified to GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Relevant qualification for the role.
• Relevant industrial experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assisting and maintaining day-to-day operations in construction workshops.
• Cleaning and routine maintenance of workshop equipment.
• Maintain safety equipment and procedures.
• Assist teaching staff with teaching aids and demonstrations.
• Supervise and deliver pre-planned practical sessions when required.
• Set up and return workshop equipment; manage materials stock.
