Job summary

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) invites applications for a Work Experience Officer - Construction at Newcastle College. The role focuses on developing, coordinating and delivering meaningful work experience opportunities for Construction learners across NSCG, engaging employers to secure placements for Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical and related courses.

Holds English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
Holds a relevant qualification.
Demonstrates strong administrative and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop positive and professional relationships with construction employers and promote work experience opportunities.
Work with curriculum teams to identify learners needing work experience and clarify placement outcomes.
Match learners to suitable work experience, considering programme, aspirations and employer requirements.
Support learners to be work- and site-ready, including CSCS or industry-specific pre-placement requirements.
Ensure placement documentation and checks are completed accurately and on time per college procedures and safety/safeguarding rules.
Record and maintain learner and employer information on College systems (e.g., Grofar) for monitoring and audit.
