Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Construction Tutor / Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) for a centre-based role. You will teach and assess learners working towards vocational qualifications in Construction in a classroom setting.

The role offers £30,000 – £35,000 depending on qualifications and experience, full-time permanent employment. The candidate should hold a Level 3 NVQ in Construction and be keen to develop a teaching qualification with employer support, including PTLLS/AET.

Qualifications

• Must hold your own Level 3 NVQ in a Construction specialism.
• Willingness to work toward teaching qualification – PTLLS/AET – fully funded and supported by employer
• Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Painting and Decorating.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications in Construction, within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
