Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Painting and Decorating / Tiling Tutor to deliver training in a centre-based setting. The role can be trainee or qualified.

You will teach learners toward vocational qualifications, embed maths and English, assess progress, and support progression, with funded teaching qualifications available.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 3 NVQ in Painting and Decorating and/or Tiling.
• Willingness to work toward teaching qualification - PTLLS/AET - fully funded and supported by employer
• Confident and comfortable to deliver training/workshops to groups of learners.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Painting, Decorating and Tiling.
• IT literate.
• Driver and use of a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards a vocational qualification in Painting, Decorating and Tiling,within a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating,engaging and develop learners'skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Embedding of Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
