Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Construction Tutor for a mainstream college based in Slough. You will teach electrical installations, carpentry, plumbing, and motor vehicle to motivated students in a practical learning environment.

The role offers market-leading pay, a dedicated support team, CPD opportunities, and a referral scheme. Successful candidates will have Level 5+ construction qualifications and FE teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification or higher in construction or related field.
• Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA.
• Level 3 City & Guilds in area of expertise.
• GCSE Maths and English level 4 and above.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Understanding of current trends in construction.
• Experience teaching in further education is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach construction skills to learners to pursue a career in the field.
• Follow schemes of learning to help students achieve excellent results.

The successful Construction Tutor will be teaching passionate and focused students the skills necessary to pursue a career in the field. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

The successful Construction Tutor will have:

• - Level 5 qualification or higher in construction, architecture, or related field, extensive industry experience will be considered
• - Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA
• - Level 3 City and Guilds in area of expertise
• - GCSE Maths and English level 4 and above
• - Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• - Excellent understanding of current trends in construction
• - Experience teaching in further education is desirable
