Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Construction Tutor to teach dedicated students in Warwickshire. You will deliver practical and theoretical construction content, driving learners to achieve strong results within the college’s schemes of learning.

Ideal candidates hold Level 5+ in construction or related fields, with Level 3 CAVA/City & Guilds and GCSEs at grade 4+. Excellent communication and up-to-date industry knowledge are essential. PAYE arrangements and competitive rates apply.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification or higher in construction, architecture, or related field.
• Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA.
• Level 3 City and Guilds in area of expertise.
• GCSE Maths and English level 4 and above.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach passionate and focused students the skills necessary to pursue a career in construction.
• Follow schemes of learning and ensure excellent results.
• Engage learners in practical and theory-based activities.

Skills

The successful Construction Tutor will have:

• Level 5 qualification or higher in construction, architecture, or related field, extensive industry experience will be considered
• Level 3 assessing qualification such as CAVA
• Level 3 City and Guilds in area of expertise
• GCSE Maths and English level 4 and above
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Excellent understanding of current trends in construction
• Experience teaching in further education is desirable
