Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a Construction Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in Solihull. You will deliver practical construction lessons, developing hands-on skills and live demonstrations to engage students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and other challenges.

You will work closely with support staff to create a positive, supportive learning environment, promote safe working practices, and help learners gain meaningful qualifications and clear pathways into construction careers within the

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant construction qualifications with teaching experience.
• Industry experience across construction trades.
• Experience supporting young people with SEMH or additional needs.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Ability to motivate disengaged learners through practical learning.
• Flexible, resilient approach and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging vocational Construction lessons and assess progress.
• Use hands-on activities to build practical skills across construction trades.
