Job summary

G2legal is seeking a Senior Associate with around 4 years’ PQE in construction law for a hybrid role handling both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will work on developments, infrastructure projects, energy, student accommodation and PRS, and manage disputes through litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

Qualifications

• Approximately 4 years’ PQE in construction law, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters.
• Experience advising across sectors including development, infrastructure, energy, student accommodation or PRS.
• Proven ability in handling disputes via litigation, arbitration, adjudication and enforcement.
• Strong drafting, negotiating and legal analytical skills.
• Commercial awareness and ability to handle clients and work under pressure.
• Enthusiasm for mentoring junior fee-earners and collaborating in a team.

Job description

A respected full-service law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate with around 4 years’ PQE in construction law. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone experienced across both contentious and non-contentious construction work. You will work on everything from traditional developments to complex infrastructure projects, including energy, student accommodation, PRS, and large-scale disputes like litigation, arbitration, and adjudication.

This is a hands-on role where you will work with listed companies, local authorities, banks, developers, contractors, specialist subcontractors, and consultants, on both national and international matters.

What the firm is looking for

• A solicitor with approximately 4 years’ PQE in construction law, covering both contentious and non-contentious matters
• Experience advising across a range of sectors, including traditional development, infrastructure, energy, student accommodation or PRS
• Proven ability in handling disputes via litigation, arbitration, adjudication and enforcement
• Strong drafting, negotiating and legal analytical skills
• Commercial awareness, confident client handling and the ability to work under pressure
• Enthusiasm for mentoring more junior fee-earners and collaborating in a team environment
