Job summary

A respected full-service law firm is seeking a Senior Associate with around 4 years of PQE in construction law. This role involves handling both contentious and non-contentious matters across a range of projects including energy and student accommodation. The firm offers a hybrid working arrangement, competitive holidays, and a generous bonus scheme. Ideal candidates will have strong drafting and negotiating skills, as well as commercial awareness.

Job description

A respected full‑service law firm is recruiting a Senior Associate with around 4 years’ PQE in construction law. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone experienced across both contentious and non‑contentious construction work.

You will work on everything from traditional developments to complex infrastructure projects, including energy, student accommodation, PRS and large‑scale disputes like litigation, arbitration and adjudication.

This is a hands‑on role where you will work with listed companies, local authorities, banks, developers, contractors, specialist subcontractors and consultants, on both national and international matters.

What The Firm is Looking For
  • A solicitor with approximately 4 years’ PQE in construction law, covering both contentious and non‑contentious matters
  • Experience advising across a range of sectors, including traditional development, infrastructure, energy, student accommodation or PRS
  • Proven ability in handling disputes via litigation, arbitration, adjudication and enforcement
  • Strong drafting, negotiating and legal analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness, confident client handling and the ability to work under pressure
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring more junior fee‑earners and collaborating in a team environment
