Job summary

Wates Smartspace is offering a Site Management (Production) Trainee programme. You will gain hands-on experience on site, learning how projects are planned, coordinated and delivered from start to finish.

You will develop knowledge of site operations, health and safety, quality management and stakeholder coordination, while working with subcontractors, supply chain partners and clients to drive on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with 2:2 or above by Sep 2027.
• Some roles require a UK driving licence; check location requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management and coordination of construction activities on site.
• Promote health, safety, wellbeing and environmental sustainability.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and supply chain partners to meet project requirements.
• Develop relationships with clients, designers, consultants and project team.
• Assist with planning and monitoring project programmes to keep on schedule and budget.
• Support quality inspections and site checks to meet specifications.
• Learn construction methods, processes and sequencing across project stages.
• Work with commercial teams to understand project costs and controls.
• Contribute to site meetings, progress reporting and project coordination.
• Develop knowledge of digital construction tools used in delivery.
• Build leadership and communication skills to manage on-site teams.
• Complete technical and behavioural training as part of the programme.
