Job summary

Expanded, part of the Laing O''Rourke group, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to support major projects across Birmingham, Suffolk and Kent. You will lead safety culture, embed wellbeing into delivery, and act as the on-site safety champion.

You will work with managers and site teams to meet the highest safety standards, coach operational teams through Inclusion & Wellbeing tools, and carry out assurance activities to verify effectiveness of safety processes.

Qualifications

Level 5 qualification (minimum) in a relevant subject.
Background in civils or infrastructure projects.
Strong technical knowledge in Occupational Health Risk Management and Safety Risk Management.
Skilled in coaching, training, auditing, and investigations.
Membership of a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

Be the go-to expert, supporting managers and site teams to meet the highest safety standards.
Coach and guide operational teams using Inclusion & Wellbeing engagement tools – helping everyone have a voice on site.
Carry out assurance activities that give confidence in how effectively safety processes are working.
Work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team on some of the most complex and exciting infrastructure projects in the UK.
