Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to oversee safety on a major Birmingham construction site.

You will lead safety campaigns, conduct site inspections, RAMS reviews and toolbox talks, and ensure full regulatory compliance across all site activities. The role requires NEBOSH Construction qualifications, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to safety on a busy project.

Qualifications

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or Diploma required.
Experience managing health and safety on construction sites.
Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and UK legislation.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Manage and monitor all health and safety activities across the construction site.
Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and CDM 2015.
Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
Review RAMS and method statements (RAMS).
Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions.
Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
Promote safe systems of work and monitor subcontractor compliance.
Liaise with management, contractors and stakeholders on safety matters.
Maintain accurate health and safety records and documentation.
Promote a positive health and safety culture across the project team.
