Job summary

Expanded is the specialist delivery partner within LaingO'Rourke, delivering construction solutions and embedding safety and wellbeing across major projects in the UK. The Health & Safety Manager will support multiple projects, lead safety culture, and ensure wellbeing is integrated at every delivery layer.

Based on a multi-site role, the position focuses on driving safety performance, coaching teams, and embedding inclusive practices across urban and civil infrastructure schemes.

Qualifications

• Level 5 qualification (minimum) in a relevant subject.
• Background in civils or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge in Occupational Health Risk Management and Safety Risk Management.
• Coaching, training, auditing and investigations experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to expert, supporting managers and site teams to meet highest safety standards.
• Coach and guide operational teams using Inclusion & Wellbeing engagement tools – giving everyone a voice on site.
• Carry out assurance activities that demonstrate how safety processes are working.
• Work as part of a collaborative, high-performing team on some of the most complex infrastructure projects in the UK.
