Irwin and Colton in the Midlands currently seek a Health and Safety Manager to lead H&S across a varied project portfolio, including fit-out and M&E works. Based in Lichfield, the role offers circa £70,000 plus car allowance and a benefits package.

You will provide practical safety advice to site teams, conduct audits and investigations, support risk assessments, and ensure compliance with UK legislation, helping foster a positive safety culture across projects.

Qualifications

Health and Safety Manager

Irwin and Colton are working with a leading construction and building services specialist to recruit a Health and Safety Manager.

The role will focus on supporting health and safety across a range of fit-out, refurbishment and M&E projects across the Midlands. You will work closely with project teams, managers and engineers to drive standards and promote a positive safety culture.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing practical health and safety advice to project and site teams
• Carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Supporting risk assessments and method statements
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
• Working with managers to improve health and safety performance and standards

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience in construction, M&E, building services or a similar environment
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence site teams and management
