The role involves processing supplier invoices, matching invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation, and handling VAT, coding and cost allocations. Sage 50 experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in purchase ledger is essential.
• Construction industry experience and CIS/VAT knowledge desirable.
• Experience using Sage accounting software is desirable.
• Right to work in the UK and commutable distance to Castleford, essential.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation.
• Check coding, VAT and cost allocations.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Deal with supplier queries and maintain accurate accounts.
• Prepare payment runs for approval.
• Support month end.
• Maintain accurate records across finance systems including Sage 50.
