Job summary

MCR Property Group in Manchester, Ardwick, is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its expanding finance team. This full-time role supports purchase ledger processes across construction projects, invoicing, supplier queries and reconciliations using Sage 50.

You will issue and manage purchase orders, code invoices to POs, process utility bills across multiple sites, perform bank reconciliations and maintain audit trails while working with project managers and site teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role.
• Experience issuing and managing purchase orders.
• Experience logging and coding invoices, and matching to purchase orders.
• Experience with Sage 50 and MS Excel.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CIS expertise would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Issue and manage purchase orders.
• Log and code invoices and match to purchase orders.
• Process utility bills across multiple sites.
• Maintain records in Sage 50.
• Analyse Excel spreadsheets and respond to supplier queries.
• Prepare and issue payments; post transactions and remittances.
• Perform bank reconciliations for multiple companies.
• Maintain robust audit trails and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers and wider finance team.
