Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team in Ardwick, Manchester. The role focuses on high-volume purchase ledger processing across multiple sites within the construction sector, ensuring accurate invoices, POs and supplier queries are timely addressed.

You will issue POs, code invoices, process utility bills, maintain Sage50 records and perform bank reconciliations. Strong Excel skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a Purchase Ledger role within construction or similar high-volume environment.
Strong Excel and MS Office skills for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail with robust audit trails and accuracy in processing.

Responsibilities

Issue and manage purchase orders and log/invoice coding.
Match invoices to purchase orders and process utility bills across multiple sites.
Maintain detailed records in Sage50 and reconcile accounts.
Respond to supplier queries and prepare/issue payments and remittances.
Conduct bank reconciliations for multiple entities and maintain audit trails.
