Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Broughton, North Wales, seeks an undergraduate for a 12.5‑month Project Management placement. You’ll drive strategic building and construction projects, collaborating with the FMRE UK team to deliver on safety, sustainability and production objectives.

You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn Airbus processes, and contribute to digital project tools while supporting delivery from concept to handover.

Qualifications

Undergraduate status for the duration of the placement.
Studying toward a degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Building Surveying, or equivalent.
Basic project management skills and willingness to learn Airbus tools and processes.
Excellent IT skills with Google Suite and CAD awareness.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and commitment delivery.
The ability to listen, understand and communicate information clearly.
A proactive mindset to develop yourself and find creative solutions.
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Lead key strategic projects from concept & feasibility studies to detailed design and construction phase.
Set up and manage multi-functional project teams to deliver projects per Airbus PM process.
Define project scope with clients and stakeholders; develop concepts and feasibility.
Develop and monitor delivery plans; identify risks and opportunities and manage them.
Monitor financial data; ensure spend aligns with budget and approvals.
Support move to digitalise project management tools and processes.
