IDEX Consulting is launching a brand-new Construction specialty division and seeks an established Construction Producer/Business Developer to build it from the ground up in the UK market, starting in London and regions while aiming for international growth.

You will originate and win new Construction business, leveraging your network and building a structured pipeline, with autonomy to develop your own opportunities within a dynamic, entrepreneurial platform.

A rapidly growing, independent insurance broker is launching a brand-new Construction specialty division - and we're looking for an established Construction Producer / Business Developer to help build it from the ground up. This is an opportunity for a proven Producer with a strong network and genuine appetite for new business to build your own franchise within a newly established specialist division. This is not about inheriting a mature book. It's about creating one. The initial focus is the UK market - London and regional - with a clear ambition to develop internationally.

The Opportunity

Your primary focus will be originating and winning new Construction business, leveraging your network while developing new relationships across the contractor, developer and supply-chain markets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Originating new Construction insurance opportunities
• Developing relationships with senior Construction decision-makers
• Leveraging an established network across contractors, developers and supply chains
• Targeting businesses from approximately £20m to £500m+ turnover
• Building and managing a structured prospect pipeline
• Proactively developing new business through outreach and relationship building
• Leading consultative conversations around complex Construction risks
• Working with broking and placement teams to deliver bespoke solutions
• Contributing to the division's wider go-to-market strategy

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for an established Construction Producer or Business Developer with a genuine track record of winning new business.

You’ll ideally bring:

• A proven track record of originating and closing Construction business
• An established network of Construction contacts
• Strong relationships with contractors, developers and/or supply chains
• Confidence and resilience around cold outreach and prospecting
• Strong consultative selling skills
• Knowledge of complex Construction insurance programmes
• Understanding of contractual reviews and risk mitigation
• Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM

Most importantly, you'll have the network, credibility and entrepreneurial mindset to create opportunities rather than wait for them.
