Job summary

Milford RES is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead site delivery on a gas compressor project in Gloucestershire. You will oversee day-to-day construction activities, coordinate subcontractors and site teams, and ensure works align with the project programme and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or senior site lead.
• Experience in gas, energy, utilities or industrial infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety, methods and contractor mgmt.
• Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and resources.
• Ability to read drawings, specs and programmes.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving.
• Gas safety qualifications desirable depending on project.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for the gas compressor project.
• Supervise subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors to ensure works are delivered to programme.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily site operations, labour, plant, materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any delays or issues.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, engineering teams and client representatives to resolve site issues.
• Review construction methodologies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure permits, site inductions, toolbox talks and safe systems of work are implemented as required.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and construction documentation.
• Support inspection, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
