Milford RES is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a gas compressor project based in Gloucestershire. You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinating subcontractors and site teams to deliver safely, on time, and to quality standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, a strong track record in gas or energy sectors, and the ability to interpret drawings, method statements and project programmes. A proactive, safety-first approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Construction Manager or senior site manager.
• Experience delivering gas, oil and gas, energy, utilities or industrial infra projects.
• Strong knowledge of site safety and contractor management.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and project programmes.
• Gas industry safety qualifications or site certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for the gas compressor project.
• Supervise subcontractors, site teams and specialist contractors to ensure works are delivered to programme.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily site operations, labour, plant, materials and equipment.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any delays or issues.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, engineering teams and client representatives to resolve site issues.
• Review construction methodologies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Ensure permits, site inductions, toolbox talks and safe systems of work are implemented as required.
• Maintain accurate site records, progress reports and construction documentation.
• Support inspection, testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
