Job summary

Galliford Try in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead high‑performance teams through the construction phase of the AMP 8 project. You will coordinate resources, schedule, and subcontractor performance across multiple sites in the region.

You will ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and the contract quality plan while supporting the design team with constructability input and maintaining strong relationships with Project Managers and HR.

Qualifications

• First class project management capabilities with a track record of delivering to client expectations.
• Strong background in Civils, Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
• Desirable: membership of a relevant Professional Body.
• Fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite.
• Aware of Health and Safety responsibilities and policy.
• Experience managing multiple teams and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate constructability input during preliminary design phase.
• Plan, co-ordinate and allocate construction staff efficiently.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Team and HR to meet portfolio requirements.
• Manage construction resources including labour, plant and material.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and relationships.
• Identify technical issues and feedback to the design team for resolution.
• Ensure activities comply with Health and Safety legislation and quality plans.
