Construction Manager – Night Shifts

Shift: Night Shifts (12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off)

Location: Plymouth

Contract Duration: 12 months

Nightshift Uplift Rates:

• Weekday nights: x1.33
• Saturdays: x1.5
• Sundays: x2

Belcan Workforce Solutions are currently looking for a Construction Manager to work on-site to join our client’s dynamic team working on a cutting-edge infrastructure upgrade programme to support the MOD's future requirements for warship and submarine programmes.

Successful applicants will be required to be Security Cleared prior to appointment and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain UK Security Clearance.

An IR35 assessment for tax purposes is required for this engagement. In order to determine the Limited Company’s correct IR35 status, an individual Limited Company assessment will be required.

Role Purpose:

As a Construction Manager, you will lead a multi-discipline team and coordinate with other functions to safely execute site construction works. You will have excellent awareness of CDM, construction, and health and safety legislation. You will chair and control stakeholder and supplier meetings at a senior level, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrate a wider understanding of nuclear safety and the management of design intent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Author construction management processes and strategies.
• Develop and mentor the construction delivery team.
• Integrate wider business strategies across multiple programmes.
• Champion safety culture and introduce construction site rules.
• Write and complete SQEP assessments for construction roles.
• Interface with wider construction delivery teams.
• Feed into project programmes, design reviews, and contract scope documents.
• Manage a portfolio of project programmes and support stakeholders to deliver.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• 10+ years of construction experience.
• OND, HND, Degree, or equivalent, working towards membership of a recognised construction-related professional body.
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete structures
