This role is responsible for ensuring that the electrical aspects of the construction projects are well organised, efficient and compliant with the necessary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Installation and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during construction.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide electricians and other team members. Monitor progress and address any issues that arise during the project.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Address technical issues and provide solutions to maintain project timelines. Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on electrical systems.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project progress and electrical installations. Prepare reports and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Extensive experience in managing electrical installations in construction projects. Proven track record of leading teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical system design, installation, testing, and commissioning. Knowledge of regulations related to electrical safety and construction.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills to manage and guide teams effectively. Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate project goals and expectations to team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Ability to develop innovative solutions to meet project requirements.
- Safety and Compliance: Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and ensuring compliance with regulations. Experience in conducting safety inspections and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- A degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- Certifications in electrical safety and compliance standards
