Job description

This is a permanent, full-time vacancy that closed a month ago at 23:59 BST.

The Vacancy

You will join a dynamic, dedicated, and growing team responsible for managing the post-construction phase of our housing developments. The team ensures that newly built properties, whether affordable rental, social rent, or shared ownership, meet the highest standards.

The team oversees defect resolution, structural warranty claims, and large-scale remediation projects where properties have significant issues. Managing from a handful to 50-60 homes at a time, the team collaborates closely with contractors, warranty providers, and internal departments to ensure residents receive high-quality, safe homes. You will develop and implement the Construction & Latent Defects plan, manage resources, and act as the technical lead for latent defects.

Your role is crucial in ensuring quality, maintaining housing stock integrity, and protecting the interests of tenants and shared owners.

The Role

You will approach this role with empathy and an understanding of our customer demographics. You should have knowledge and experience in the built environment sector, insurance principles, defect diagnosis, and managing contractors.

You should be experienced in residential construction processes, regulations, and health and safety legislation.

Excellent communication, networking, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential. A strong understanding of development procedures and the ability to read plans and specifications are required.

To join our team, you should also have:

  • A Degree/NVQ Level 6 in a construction-related discipline (essential), and membership in RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI (desirable).
  • Driving license, access to a car, and flexibility to work across geographical areas.
  • Excellent communication, networking, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong understanding of development procedures and the ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Experience collaborating with warranty providers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This role involves extensive travel across the UK to our sites.

We do not require recruitment agency support at this time; all speculative CVs will be treated as direct applications.
