Tilbury Douglas is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across our Building business in the South West, focusing on securing new opportunities and expanding the client base in Exeter and the surrounding region.

Working with senior leadership and delivery teams, you will develop a robust sales pipeline, nurture key relationships, and influence strategy through market insights and sector knowledge.

Qualifications

• Proven business development experience in construction or related industries.
• Deep knowledge of UK construction market and procurement routes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and CRM usage, e.g., Salesforce.
• Proactive, collaborative approach across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across public and private sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline with pre-construction and operations teams.
• Monitor market trends and inform business strategy.
• Represent the business at networking events and client meetings.
