Job Description:

Senior/Estimator – New Build Housing

Location: Staffordshire

Salary: £40,000 – £80,000 + bonus (depending on experience)

Role & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Land, Technical, Sales, and Production teams to develop site-specific land appraisals
• Prepare and review land appraisals to support site acquisitions
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through innovative materials and construction methods
• Visit potential land sites to evaluate risks and opportunities, providing detailed reports for land bids
• Suggest alternative approaches for non-standard works
• Work with Quantity Surveyors, Buyers, and external stakeholders to maintain an accurate cost database
• Monitor and report on cost movements influenced by inflation, planning, and market factors
• Prepare and present budget, risk, and opportunity reports regularly

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years UK experience as an Estimator, ideally in housebuilding or groundworks
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in IT systems within a commercial environment
• Full UK driving license required
