Job summary

Joshua Robert Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a Construction Director to lead the General Construction portfolio in the West Midlands. The role owns the build strategy, delivery, and commercial performance across the region, working with the Operations Director and deputising when needed.

You'll influence regional strategy, manage a healthy portfolio of projects, and drive long-term partnerships with clients, consultants and the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Proven senior leadership experience with a main contractor.
• Track record delivering large-scale General Construction projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness with profitability results.
• Experience leading high-performing regional operational teams.
• Strong SHEQ mindset and stakeholder skills.
• The ability to think strategically while keeping delivery on track.
• Based within a commutable distance of the West Midlands.

Responsibilities

• Leading safe, profitable and high-quality delivery across live and legacy projects.
• Taking full accountability for SHEQ, governance, risk and commercial performance.
• Running senior project reviews, CVRs and performance reporting.
• Bringing operational input into pre-construction and tenders.
• Developing your teams, planning resourcing and building succession.
• Strengthening client and supply chain relationships and supporting new business.

This is a genuine senior leadership role with real influence.
