Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Recruitment Ltd seeks a Contracts Manager – Construction to oversee a mix of industrial, residential and commercial projects across the North West from Lancashire offices.

You will plan and programme works, manage procurement, and support site teams to ensure contractual obligations are met, with projects up to £20m. The role offers a generous remuneration (£55,000-£65,000) and a company car allowance.

Qualifications

• Must have Contracts Management experience within the construction sector.
• Experience coming from a Tier 1 Main contractor is highly advantageous.
• Experience dealing with a range of new-build and refurbishment contracts.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal.
• Must be a great team player.
• Must be a hard worker ready to get stuck in.
• High levels of organisation.
• Confident individual that can deal with any problems that occur on site.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Contracts Manager position overseeing a broad range of new build construction and refurbishment projects
• Planning and programming projects to meet detailed schedules and contractual requirements
• Managing procurement and material reconciliation to ensure best value and prevent delays
• Briefing and supporting site/project teams to ensure full understanding of contractual obligations
• Carrying out weekly reviews of progress, budgets, resources, and forward planning
• Coordinating permanent and temporary staff in line with project and contractual needs
• Managing subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and company procedures
• Oversee projects up to £20m in value (typically £8m)
