Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is actively recruiting an Estimator Construction for roles focused on industrial, residential and commercial projects based in Lancashire. The role involves leading tendering, preparing estimates from drawings, and coordinating with clients and contractors to drive successful bids.

The successful candidate will have extensive estimating experience in construction, strong communication, and a proactive, organised approach to manage multiple projects up to £20m in value.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within the construction sector.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels (written and verbal).
• Must be a great team player and a hard worker.
• High levels of organisation and problem-solving on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering process, including take-offs, pricing, submission and handover.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates using drawings, specifications and estimating software.
• Manage and track tender opportunities with timely follow-ups to maximise conversions.
• Engage with clients and contractors through site visits and value engineering to support bids.
• Collaborate with internal teams, lead handovers and mentor junior estimators.
