Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a knowledgeable Construction (Built Environment) Lecturer to join an established FE provider in Hartlepool.

You will plan, deliver and assess a range of Construction and Built Environment programmes for post-16 and adult learners, including Level 3 Diplomas and HNC/HNDs, with opportunities for ongoing roles for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or higher Construction qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong industry experience within Construction.
• FE/apprenticeships teaching experience desirable.
• Teaching qualification desirable, though industry experience will be considered.
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging vocational and theory-based Built Environments lessons.
• Support learners to develop technical and practical skills for the construction industry.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned to curriculum requirements.
• Assess learner progress and provide effective feedback and support.
• Maintain a safe, positive and professional learning environment.

Protocol Education is looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Construction (Built Environment) Lecturer to join an established Further Education provider in Hartlepool.

This is an excellent opportunity to use your construction knowledge and industry experience to inspire and develop the next generation of construction professionals.

You'll be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a range of Construction and Built Environment programmes for post-16 and adult learners, including:

• Level 3 Construction/Built Environment Diplomas
• HNC/HND programmes
• Civil Engineering courses

We're interested in hearing from experienced lecturers as well as construction professionals looking to make the move into teaching.

About the Role

What we are looking for

• Relevant Level 3 or higher Construction qualification (or similar)
• Strong industry experience within Construction and relevant trade knowledge
• Teaching or training experience within FE, apprenticeships or a similar environment is desirable
• A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, although industry experience will be considered
• Strong communication, organisation and classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
