Job summary

Clancy is seeking a Consents Manager to lead land rights and consents for UK energy projects. You will coordinate across engineers, planners, legal advisers and environmental consultants to secure wayleaves, easements and planning permissions.

The role requires a strong background in utilities, robust negotiation skills, stakeholder engagement, and a full UK driving licence for site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience securing land rights and consents for infrastructure projects.
• Background in utilities (electricity, water, gas, or infrastructure).
• Knowledge of land and planning laws including the Electricity Act and related regulations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with landowners, agents, councils, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead on securing land and property consents including wayleaves, easements, leases, access rights, planning permissions, and land purchases.
• Support infrastructure works across private and public land (underground, overhead, ground-based).
• Engage with landowners, agents, local authorities, and external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation such as the Electricity Act, planning rules, and land rights regulations.
• Manage claims and negotiations including compensation for access, land use, and statutory notices.
• Oversee contractors and consultants who support the delivery of consents and land rights services.
• Keep accurate records and reports to support project progress and audits.
• Work with engineers, planners, legal advisors, and environmental consultants.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance consent processes.
