Job summary

SGS is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow Connectivity Services in the UK and internationally. The role focuses on EMC and Product Safety regulatory compliance services, building strategic client relationships and driving revenue in a technical B2B environment.

You will identify new business opportunities, engage customers, and manage relationships as a trusted advisor while meeting sales targets. Hybrid field-based role with travel across the UK and beyond.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or account management in a highly technical B2B environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel for customer meetings, presentations and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and secure new customers needing EMC, Product Safety and regulatory compliance testing services.
• Develop opportunities within existing accounts and re-engage lapsed customers to maximise revenue.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted advisor and ensure excellent customer experience throughout the sales cycle.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify new opportunities and support growth plans.
• Maintain sales pipelines and opportunities within CRM and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
