Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is recruiting an Employment Consultant to deliver end-to-end support for people seeking employment across the Essex region. The role involves vocational profiling, job matching and in-work support to help individuals secure and sustain employment.

You will work on a community- and office-based model, with driving responsibilities and a target-driven environment, ensuring personalised support aligned to contract KPIs and the Government’s Get Britain Working initiatives.

Qualifications

• Full and valid driving licence with own vehicle.

Location: T his role is community- and office-based for up to 5 days a week, covering the Essex region

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract:Fixed-term until 31/03/2028

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

ECL is working on behalf of Essex County Council to deliver ‘Connect to Work’ for people who face additional barriers to employment, as part of the Government’s new ‘Get Britain Working’ initiative.

The Connect to Work Employment Consultant will provide end-to-end support for individuals seeking employment, including vocational profiling, job matching and in-work support. You take a provide person-centred approach to ensure individuals are matched to job roles based on skills and experience.

You’ll use your initiative, outstanding communication skills, and pro-active problem-solving ability to ensure successful employment outcomes are delivered and that contractual targets are met.

About You

To be considered as an Employment Consultant, youneed:

• A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
• Experience of delivering to an employment service contract
• Experience working in a target-driven environment in line with KPIs
• To hold, or be working towards, a Supported Employment Diploma Level 3 (or equivalent)
• Experience of directly supporting individuals into employment
• Adaptable communication skills to work with both jobseekers and employers
