Job summary

Essex Cares Limited (ECL) is seeking an Inclusive Employment Consultant to help customers, primarily adults with learning disabilities or autism, into employment, volunteering and community outcomes of their choice. The role requires travel across South Essex and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

You will join a team dedicated to care, support, and inclusivity, using strong communication to build partnerships with employers and local services while working in a target-driven

Inclusive Employment - Supporting customers

Location: Basildon, with travel required across South Essex

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract:Permanent

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

As an Inclusive Employment Consultant, you’ll be key in ensuring our customers, who are predominately people with learning disabilities and/or autism, are supported into employment, volunteering and/or community outcomes dependant on the customer’s choice and their specific employment targets.

To be considered for the role of Inclusive Employment Consultant, you need:

• A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to trave l


• Experience of directly supporting adults with a learning disability and/or autism into employment


• To be confident in networking; building and maintaining relationships and working in a team


• The ability to work and succeed in a target driven environment


• Exceptional and adaptable communication skills


• The ability to plan, prioritise and problem solve with minimal support


• A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work

Regular travel required to meet with customers and employers.
