Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is recruiting an Inclusive Employment Job Coach to support young adults with EHCPs in employment or internships. You will coach customers using Systemic Instruction methods, helping them achieve employment and community outcomes, with travel across Essex as needed.

The role requires confidence in a target-driven environment, strong communication, and the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and employers. A full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of directly supporting adults with a learning disability and/or autism.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.

Responsibilities

• Coach customers on internship or employment targets using TS I methods.

Inclusive Employment - Supporting customers

Location: South Essex, with travel required across Essex

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract:Permanent

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

As an Inclusive Employment Job Coach, you’ll be key in ensuring our customers, who are predominately young adults with an EHCP on a supported internship program, are coached using Training in Systemic Instruction (TSI) methods into employment, volunteering and/or community outcomes dependant on the customer’s choice and their specific employment targets. You will also have the opportunity to support our supported employment customers settle in and sustain their paid employment in a range of different sectors.

About You

You will be responsible for a cohort of customers, ensuring that they are confident to settle into their paid employment and/or supported internship placement.

To be considered for the role of Inclusive Employment Job Coach, you need:

• Experience of directly supporting adults with a learning disability and/or autism
• To be confident in building and maintaining relationships
• The ability to work and succeed in a target driven environment
• Good knowledge of the supported internship model
• Exceptional and adaptable communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a team, but also on your own initiative
• A full and valid driving licence with own vehicle to travel
