Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is seeking an Inclusive Employment Volunteering Coordinator to support individuals with barriers to employment in finding volunteering and work experience opportunities across South Essex, with baseline duties including assessments and coaching to match skills with placements.

You will work within LIVE programme, delivering person-centred support, building pathways with local organisations, and driving contract targets while ensuring customer-centric outcomes and strong

• Experience delivering to an employment service or social care contract.
• Experience working in a target‑driven environment in line with KPI's.
• Experience directly supporting individuals into employment or volunteering.
• Understanding of the needs of employers and individuals with barriers to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support for volunteering, work experience and community outcomes.
• Complete community profile assessments and provide support and/or job coaching.
• Work closely with organisations offering voluntary opportunities to secure placements.
• Create pathways for customers and ensure outcomes meet contractual targets.

About The Role

Salary:£29,274 per annum

Location:Basildon with travel across South Essex

Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday - Thursday 08:30am - 16:30pm, Friday 08:30am - 16:00pm. Flexibility working outside of the core hours is required, including evenings and weekends.

Contract:Permanent

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.

Join ECL in an exciting new position within our Inclusive Employment team, supporting individuals with barriers to employment in finding and sustaining work and volunteering outcomes. The Volunteering Coordinator will be instrumental in ECL’s delivery of the Local authorityfunded Supported Employment programme LIVE.

You’ll provide end-to-end support for individuals seeking volunteering, work experience, and/or community outcomes, using a person-centred approach to ensure individuals are matched based on skills and experience. You will be completing community profile assessments, providing support and/or job coaching, and working closely with organisations offering voluntary opportunities.

You’ll use your initiative, outstanding communication skills, and pro‑active problem‑solving ability to create pathways for our customers and ensure customer‑centric outcomes are delivered in line with contractual targets.

About You

To be considered as Inclusive Employment Volunteering Coordinator, you need:

• Supported Employment Diploma Level 3 or Health and Social Care equivalent (holding or working towards)
• Experience delivering to an employment service or social care contract
• Experience working in a target‑driven environment in line with KPI's
• Experience directly supporting individuals into employment or volunteering
• Understanding of the needs of employers and individuals with barriers to employment
• Experience providing employment support as part of a government scheme (desirable)
• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
