Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Coniston. This is a full-time, term-time position, starting in September 2026.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support and work with a small group of children, closely collaborating with the class teacher and SEND team to help pupils access learning and achieve personal goals.

Qualifications

• Have previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting (preferred).
• Have experience supporting children with SEND or additional learning needs (desirable).
• Be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
• Be able to work effectively both independent and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and work with a small group of children.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to provide tailored support.
• Support children with a range of additional needs, adapting activities where required and encouraging positive engagement both in and out of the classroom.
