Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant / HLTA for a full-time role in North Cornwall. The successful candidate will support children with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping with classroom engagement, emotional regulation and learning.

A calm, patient and adaptable approach is essential to promote inclusive education. Experience with SEND, strong communication and the ability to build trusted relationships with pupils and staff are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (e.g. Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• A caring and proactive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to boost engagement.
