Job summary

QED Legal is seeking a Conflicts Analyst in Edinburgh for a hybrid role. You will conduct conflict checks and analyse complex results, identifying risks and advising lawyers and partners to resolve issues.

You will develop conflicts processes, mentor junior colleagues, and become a trusted subject-matter expert while balancing regulatory requirements with client service. Hybrid work 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Previous conflicts experience within a commercial law firm (NEEDED).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to assess risk effectively.
• Confidence communicating with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and complex workloads.
• A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
• Experience using Intapp and Security Policy Manager would be advantageous, but it isn't essential.

Responsibilities

• Conducting conflict checks for new clients and matters.
• Reviewing and analysing complex search results.
• Identifying potential legal and commercial conflicts.
• Working directly with lawyers and partners to resolve conflicts issues.
• Providing clear, practical guidance to stakeholders across the firm.
• Supporting the development of conflicts processes and systems.
• Sharing knowledge and mentoring more junior members of the team.
• Building your expertise and becoming a trusted conflicts specialist within the firm.
