Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks a Configuration Management Engineer to drive CM/DM within Delivery Teams.

You will manage CM planning, identification, change control, status accounting and audits across lifecycle phases of a programme, supporting engineering delivery and data integrity. The role offers hybrid working after probation, with a focus on ensuring robust configuration baselines and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-changing aerospace/defence

Qualifications

• Background in Configuration Management/Engineering
• Ideally degree in Engineering; transferrable skills welcomed
• Five key CM elements: Planning, Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting, Audit
• Data Management for release, submittal and tracking of contract/supplier data
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer interfacing skills
• Proficiency in creating and formatting templates in MS Office

Responsibilities

• Drive a proactive CM and DM approach to Delivery Teams
• Deliver agreed Work packages into Delivery Teams within cost and schedule constraints
• Configuration Management Planning: generation, review, and execution of CM Plan
• Configuration Identification
• Change Control: analyse design changes, co-chair Change Control Boards and provide status inputs
• Provide Configuration Status Accounting and establish Configuration Baselines
• Verification and Audit (FCA/PCA)
• Collaborate with engineering delivery teams to ensure project dataset is maintained and controlled
