Job summary

Akabo Media Ltd is seeking a Conference Producer to lead the development of high-value conference programmes across its portfolio. You will research markets, craft agendas, acquire speakers and coordinate copy and on-site delivery to ensure premium, revenue-driving content.

The role requires strong judgment, excellent copywriting, and the ability to manage multiple events from concept through post-event evaluation. UK travel is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in conference production or related field.
• Ability to research markets and develop agendas for professional audiences.
• Experience securing and managing senior speakers and stakeholders.
• Excellent written English and copywriting ability.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• High commercial awareness and understanding of paid conference value.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple events.
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Research markets, sectors and event communities to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
• Develop commercially relevant conference programmes for senior-level delegates.
• Build structured agendas delivering practical insight and peer learning.
• Identify, approach and manage high-quality speakers with clear value.
• Prioritise credible speakers with seniority and market influence.
• Maintain relationships with speakers, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to align content with commercial priorities.
• Write and edit copy for conference materials and websites.
• Manage speaker/content process including briefings and timelines.
• Support live delivery on-site as a content contact and speaker liaison.
• Conduct post-event reviews and identify improvements.
