Job Purpose

The Conference Producer’s responsibility is to deliver all aspects of the conference, as the lead owner of content, the product, and relationships within the industry, including all aspects of the programme lifecycle:

  • Development and management of new and existing relationships with relevant market stakeholders, including industry leaders, partner organisations, vendors, and the media
  • Programme research and development
  • Speaker acquisition
  • Leadership to ensure onsite delivery is executed with excellence and speaker and attendee/sponsor relationships are strengthened
  • Continual assessment of regional and global market dynamics to identify opportunities for the development of conference content offerings
  • All persons in production are required to use Salesforce for pre-event, during event, and post event. All speakers are to be recorded on Salesforce
Key Accountabilities
Conference Production
  • Liaising with Conference Chair(s) and Governing Body members.
  • Organising and running Governing Body meetings to determine conference themes, topics, session chairs, and speakers
  • Conducting research with potential attendees to develop programme agendas
  • Joining SPEX calls and meetings with clients
  • Ensuring the conference agenda is commercially viable for sponsorship and delegate sales
  • Recruiting industry experts, regulators, government reps, and relevant speakers
  • Researching and providing market intelligence for marketing and sales, including target markets, industry associations, publications, and competitors
  • Attending conferences to promote, gather intelligence, and network with potential speakers and delegates
Conference Project Management
  • Maintaining communication with management on event status
  • Preparing and sending reports
  • Working with operations to ensure excellent onsite experience
  • Traveling nationally and internationally for conferences and team management
Qualifications And Experience
  • Passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced in developing profitable, industry-leading conferences
  • Ability to manage multiple international event portfolios
  • Proven skills in creating marketing and sales campaigns
