Job summary

Forterra plc is hiring a Production Operative at Hams Hall, Coleshill, near Birmingham. The role involves operating concrete batching and related plant, following safety procedures, and working to quality standards to support both commercial and housing markets.

You will be trained to use various production processes and equipment, ensuring efficient, safe production and high quality output. A hands-on team role with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• Literacy and Numeracy to GCSE level (or equivalent).
• Experience of working in a factory environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to operate manufacturing machinery and plant on site (training provided).
• Well organised with ability to manage varied workloads and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate concrete batching, manufacturing and packaging plant.
• Ensure health & safety standards are followed and PPE is maintained.
• Complete process control sheets and report quality concerns.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised work environment.
