Job summary

Heidelberg Materials UK, a leading supplier of construction materials, is seeking a Concrete Plant Supervisor to join our on-site operations. You will help produce high-quality concrete, run batching and plant activities, and ensure safety and efficient site standards to deliver a first-class service.

The role requires practical, driven individuals who can work independently, manage priorities, and uphold safety and environmental policies while supporting continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at 4/C or above.
• Willingness to work in a busy plant environment and follow safety practices.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and stay organised.
• Hands-on, practical approach with proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate batching plant and loading shovel (FEL) safely and efficiently.
• Produce quality concrete and mortar in line with requirements and procedures.
• Liaise with customers, drivers, Order Office and plant colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain stock levels of raw materials and carry out stock inspections.
• Conduct routine plant inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Ensure site, plant, buildings and welfare facilities are kept to a high standard.
• Monitor and report defects, safety, environmental or quality concerns.
• Support compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality and company standards.
• Promote a safe working environment for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Seek ways to improve operational efficiency and site presentation.
