Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. is seeking a Concrete Distribution Manager to support our concrete plants in Scotland. You will manage day-to-day distribution operations, develop strong customer relationships, and drive KPI improvements while coordinating with transport and site teams to optimise fleet use and delivery schedules.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, process improvement, and cost control within a family-owned business committed to training, development and career progression.

Qualifications

• Logistical/planning experience required.
• Good geographical knowledge of Central Scotland.
• Polite, professional and courteous with customers.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good IT skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the distribution department.
• Develop and manage relationships with customers.
• Deliver and monitor KPIs for the department head.
• Improve truck utilisation and efficiency.
• Coordinate orders and deliveries with customers and Transport Co-ordinator.
• Plan transportation schedules and routes.
• Handle customer inquiries and first-stage complaints.
• Arrange hauliers to cover workloads.
• Coordinate with sites and staff to facilitate orders and deliveries.

THE ROLE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Concrete Distribution Manager to support our concrete plants based at RWM House.The successful candidate will support various departments related to concrete distribution and will have experience in both concrete and logistics to ensure effective running of the department.

We are looking for a focused individual who is capable of supporting the various departments to deliver outstanding service levels and driving process improvement. Managing costs effectively and delivering meaningful KPI’s is an essential part of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring adequate cover during holiday periods
• Developing and managing professional relationships with new and existing customers
• Deliver meaningful KPI’s to the head of department
• Improve truck utilisation, ensuring trucks are used as efficiently as possible
• Liaising with customers to process and schedule orders for delivery
• Liaising with the Transport Co-ordinator to ensure vehicles are utilised efficiently
• Liaising with sites and staff to facilitate orders and deliveries
• Managing first-stage complaints from customers
• Ensure customer orders are co-ordinated efficiently
• Arrange hauliers to cover workloads
• Planning and preparing transportation schedules, and planning routes
• Dealing with incoming customer enquiries
• Communicating with other sites and staff to facilitate orders and deliveries

Concrete experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
