Job summary

Tillicoultry Quarries Ltd. in Scotland is seeking a Driver and Fleet Supervisor to lead driver training, monitor compliance, and optimise fleet performance across our sites. You will develop people, manage scheduling, and uphold vehicle standards while delivering reliable service.

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will coordinate with weighbridges, dispatch and drivers, drive improvements and ensure customer orders are met with high standards of safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid C+E Driving Licence.
• Knowledge of transport compliance and fleet management.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Strong planning, organisational, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to analyse data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Induction and training of new drivers to meet standards and service levels.
• Carry out driver assessments for new and current staff.
• Monitor probation periods and provide retraining as needed.
• Provide vehicle familiarisation training on mixers, tippers, tankers; guide drivers on fleet use.
• Coordinate servicing and maintenance to minimise disruption and maintain productivity.
• Support operational requirements to ensure customer orders are met.
• Monitor systems to identify performance and compliance issues and implement improvements.
• Carry out post-accident driver assessments and assist investigations.

THE ROLE

The successful candidates should have excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team to deliver shared objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Induction and training of new drivers to deliver required operational standards, flexibility, and customer service.
• Carry out driver assessments for new and current drivers as and when required.
• Monitor new drivers throughout probation period to ensure all requirements are being met and provide retraining as required.
• Provide vehicle familiarisation training on Mixers, Tippers, Tankers and provide guidance for all drivers in the correct use of fleet.
• Work with weighbridge, dispatch, and drivers to maximise fleet utilisation to improve productivity of drivers and fleet.
• Co-ordinate the servicing and maintenance of vehicles to minimise disruption to operational requirements and maintain productivity.
• Maintain and support operational requirements as and when required to ensure customer’s orders are met.
• Monitor relevant systems to identify performance and compliance issues, implement actions to remove inefficiencies and improve compliance.
• Carry out post-accident and property damage driver assessments and support with investigations across all sites to reduce occurrence of incidents.

• In possession of a valid C+E Driving License
• Knowledge of transport compliance and fleet management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
• Excellent planning, organisational, time management and attention to detail skills.
• Ability to analyse data accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
