Southampton Harbour Hotel & Spa is seeking a Concierge / Luggage Porter to be the face of our luxury five-star hotel. You will welcome high-profile guests, assist with luggage and guide guests to their rooms, ensuring five-star service at every touchpoint.

Ideal candidates have hotel concierge experience, outstanding communication skills, and a full UK driving licence. Join our passionate, friendly team and enjoy generous tips and career progression in a luxury waterfront setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as hotel concierge or in a high-end hospitality role.
• Strong guest-service focus and ability to create memorable experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Creating memorable first and last impressions for every guest.
• Welcoming guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Assisting with luggage and escorting guests to their rooms.
• Valeting and parking luxury and high-performance vehicles; UK driving licence required and over 25.
• Organising taxis, cruise transfers and local transportation.
• Providing expert recommendations on Southampton's restaurants, attractions and events.
• Assisting with special requests, celebrations and personalised experiences.
• Collaborating with Reception, Housekeeping and Restaurants to ensure seamless guest journeys.

What you'll be doing

• Creating memorable first and last impressions for every guest.
• Welcoming guests with genuine warmth and professionalism.
• Assisting with luggage and escorting guests to their rooms.
• Valeting and parking a range of luxury and high-performance vehicles. - Full UK Driving licence required and over the age of 25.
• Organising taxis, cruise transfers and local transportation.
• Providing expert recommendations on Southampton's restaurants, attractions and events.
• Supporting guests with special requests, celebrations and personalised experiences.
• Working closely with Reception, Housekeeping and our Restaurants to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Delivering the five-star service standards that Harbour Hotels are renowned for.

What we're looking for

• Someone who has had past experience of being a concierge in a hotel.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, can-do attitude with plenty of initiative.
• A full UK driving licence with confidence driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Smart, professional appearance and excellent attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
